Full course description
In this faculty workshop, participants will examine best practices in synchronous teaching that are creative, motivating, and innovative. They will design high-quality synchronous sessions to enhance student participation. Likewise, they will develop pedagogical competencies to apply innovative strategies, interactive methods, and accessible digital tools in synchronous classes that are engaging, effective, and learner-centered. They will evaluate adult learning principles, the use of free technological tools, the structured planning of a synchronous session, and techniques for maintaining attention, promoting critical thinking, and fostering student collaboration in real-time virtual environments. By the end of the workshop, participants will synthesize best practices to make their classes more engaging, clear, and meaningful.
