Full course description
This workshop aims to strengthen teaching competencies related to student motivation in diverse educational settings, including face-to-face, hybrid, and virtual modalities. Throughout the course, participants will explore theoretical foundations and practical strategies aimed at promoting active participation, academic persistence, and a sense of belonging. The use of accessible techniques and free digital resources that can be effectively integrated into course design and facilitation will also be addressed. As part of the faculty development program, this workshop constitutes an essential formative component and serves as a prelude to advanced courses on educational innovation and digital assessment strategies. Through four modules, participants will examine key motivation theories, identify techniques and tools to foster student engagement, and analyze how to adapt these strategies to different academic levels in order to strengthen inclusive learning environments that support academic continuity.
